TIPS FOR SHOWING YOUR HOME
1. Your home must be always available for showings. I will make sure that your home is available by placing a lockbox in a convenient location so that other real estate agents may show your home to prospective buyers.
2. Don't be home at the time of the showing. Prospective Buyers need to visualize themselves in the home and they may feel uncomfortable or like intruders if you are there.
3. Use fragrances to make your house smell pleasant. Fragrances also stimulate emotions and will make the potential buyer feel more at home. Don't use too much though and don't try to cover up odors.
4. Turn on all indoor lighting for all showings and all outdoor lighting for evening showings. Replace lower wattage bulbs with higher wattage bulbs. Brighter light makes the rooms seem larger.
5. Keep your house tidy. Don't leave anything laying around. Clean and vaccuum everyday.
6. Take out the trash every day and prior to every showing. Buyer's will open cabinet doors so remove the trash even if it's kept under the sink.
7. Keep your pets locked up. If they must stay in the house, put them in one room and put a label on the door.
